Extension and Alterations to former barns, Oxspring, South Yorkshire

This project revitalises and activates a neglected corner between a converted barn and neighbouring outbuildings to create a spacious kitchen / dining area, new entrance and gym, while also carving out a sheltered external space (the site is very exposed) and allowing existing kitchen to be re-purposed as a snug.

As part of the works, the fabric of the parts fo the building being refurbished will be thermally upgraded with appropriately vapour-permeable materials for traditional solid masonry walls. This will include a timber over-cladding rainscreen to the particularly exposed upper level of the South elevation.
